The Hot Sheet—Pacers Collapse, Clark Shines, Irsay Honored
The Hot Sheet with Shavona Slayz
If you missed The Hot Sheet this morning, here’s a recap of what happened:
Pacers Let Game 4 Slip Away
Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse was electric. The Pacers had the lead, the crowd was loud, and the momentum felt real—but it all unraveled in the final quarter. OKC outscored Indiana 31–17, tying the NBA Finals at 2–2.
Pascal Siakam delivered with 20 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, and 5 steals. But Indiana stalled late, managing just one point in the final 3:20. Ball movement disappeared, and it cost them. Game 5 is Monday in OKC. Game 6 returns to Indy on Thursday. Time to tighten up.
Caitlin Clark Returns, Fever Torch Liberty
Caitlin Clark came back strong, dropping 32 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds in a 102–88 win over the previously undefeated New York Liberty. She knocked down three straight threes in 33 seconds to flip the momentum early.
The Fever hit 17 threes, tying a franchise record, and it was a full team effort. The win also added $3,000 to Peace Learning Center through the Commissioner’s Cup.
WNBA Ratings Dip Without Clark
Since Clark’s May 26 quad injury, WNBA national TV ratings have dropped more than 55%. The drop has sparked conversation about whether the league is relying too heavily on “The Caitlin Clark Effect.”
Stars like A’ja Wilson, Angel Reese, and Aliyah Boston are showing out—but not getting the same visibility. Fans are now asking: is the league doing enough to promote the whole game?
Jim Irsay to Be Inducted into Colts Ring of Honor
The Colts will induct Jim Irsay into their Ring of Honor on September 7 during the season opener. He’ll join his father, Robert Irsay, making them the first father-son duo in franchise history. A memorial patch and tributes will follow. Indy lost a giant, but his name will forever live inside Lucas Oil Stadium.
That’s your Hot Sheet. Catch it live on The Morning Hustle, weekdays at 7:20, 8:20, and 9:20.
Have a great day—LuhhhhYuhhh Buhh-Byeeee!
