REAL ID Requirements Are Officially Live
REAL ID requirements are now in full effect at airports across the U.S. Starting today, TSA will be enforcing the rule, and if your ID doesn’t meet those standards, you could be stuck at the gate.

What’s a REAL ID?
Look at your driver’s license. See a star in the corner? That means it meets the REAL ID requirements, and you’re cleared for domestic flights. If your ID doesn’t have a star, you’ll need to visit the DMV before you fly again.
Don’t Have a REAL ID Yet?
Here’s what you’ll need to bring to the DMV:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Two proofs of address
- Proof of lawful U.S. status
Sounds like a lot, but the process is straightforward. And let’s be real—you don’t want TSA holding you up at the airport.
What the REAL ID Covers
These new REAL ID requirements are for air travel only. You don’t need one to drive, vote, receive federal benefits like Social Security, go to the post office, or even show up for jury duty.

International Travel? Still Need a Passport
Let’s clear this up—REAL ID requirements do NOT replace your passport. If you’re heading out of the country, whether it’s Cancun or Canada, you’ll still need that passport and any necessary visas.
The Bottom Line
The deadline is here, the rules are real, and TSA isn’t playing. Check your wallet and make sure your ID is REAL-ID compliant. If it’s not, plan that DMV trip ASAP. Don’t let an outdated ID cancel your flight plans.
That’s all I got for today’s Hot Sheet inside the Morning Hustle—Love youuuu buhbyeee!
