HotSheet 4.15: Chuck E. Cheese Closes + Millennial Debt Rises
Hey hey! here’s what you missed on today’s Hot Sheet inside the Morning Hustle. Let’s get into it…
The Eastside Bids Farewell to Chuck E. Cheese 😢
Y’all… it’s officially the end of an era. The Chuck E. Cheese on East Washington Street has closed its doors for good as of March 31, 2025.
If you grew up on the Eastside, this one hurts. That spot has been around since 2011, and before that? It was the OG ShowBiz Pizza Place that opened back in 1982. That building raised generations of kids—from wild birthday parties to Saturday afternoons full of tokens, tickets, and those legendary animatronic performances.
And let me tell you, this was the last Chuck E. Cheese in Indy that still had the classic animatronic Chuck E. 👀 NOSTALGIA!

CEC Entertainment (that’s the parent company) says they shut it down due to lease issues and shifting their focus to better serve families. But truth be told, the whole Washington Square area has been slowly fading. We’ve already lost Burlington, Joanns’, and Golden Corral. It’s rough seeing the Eastside lose so many staples we grew up with..
So yeah, it’s a big goodbye to a childhood favorite. Thank you for the memories, Chuck E. Thanks for the pizza, the chaos, and all those sticky arcade floors. You’ll be missed. 💔

Indiana Millennials Are Drowning in Debt — But There’s Hope 💳
Let’s switch gears, if you’ve been side-eyeing your bank account lately, you’re not the only one. A recent report from WRTV says Indiana millennials are drowning in debt and more are turning to professionals for help.

With student loans, credit cards, and basic living costs all rising, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But there are some things you can do right now to get back in control. Here’s the tea:
1. Track Your Spending.
Grab a free budgeting app like Mint or EveryDollar. Know where your money’s going so you can start making changes.
2. Pay More Than the Minimum.
Even $25 extra on your credit card payment can make a big difference over time.
3. Cancel Unused Subscriptions.
If you haven’t used that streaming service in months—let it go! Every dollar counts.
4. Try the Snowball Method.
Start with your smallest debt. Once that’s paid, roll that money into your next debt. You’ll gain momentum and motivation.
5. Talk to a Credit Counselor.
Places like Money Management International or NFCC offer free or low-cost support. No shame, just real solutions.
Bottom line: You’re not alone, boo. Smart money moves today = peace of mind tomorrow.
