Kelly Rowland Thanks Tina Knowles In Acceptance Speech

Sounds like a fanfare of praise has been following Tina Knowles the last couple of days.
Just hours after Beyonce gushed over her mother during her CFDA acceptance speech, Kelly Rowland dedicated her award to the fashion foreword mama.
During a Women In Excellence Luncheon for her charity efforts, Kelly paid tribute to her late mother Doris and Tina Knowles, The Source reports.
Kelly reflected on her late mother explaining, “She would always tell me, ‘Cross your legs, always look at people, be ladylike’ — I just feel she is here.”
She continued her speech, bringing up her second mom, “My other mommy Tina, forced me to look in the mirror and say, ‘You look at that chocolate skin — so pretty,” Rowland told the crowd. “She taught me how glorious our skin is, ladies. Don’t dim your light for nobody.”

Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa’s Divorce Finalized

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have finally cut the chord.
The former couple reached an agreement after filing for divorce two years ago, TMZ reports.
Due to their pre-nup, Rose gets to walk away with $1 million in addition to $14,800 a month in child support for their son Bash.
Wiz gets to hold on to his Pennsylvania home, with a garage that reportedly houses 10 cars.
Looks like the whole thing ended amicably–and that is good news for their son.

Kerry Washington Was Fired From Two TV Pilots For Not Being “Hood”

Poised and graceful Kerry Washington was once told she wasn’t “hood enough” for a role in a piloted series, Variety reports.
Wait, we remember her role in “Save The Last Dance,” she was able to channel it then, what happened?
The actress explains that before she was Olivia Pope, she went after two other roles.
“Before ‘Scandal,’ I was actually cast in two other pilots,” she explained. “Both went to series, but I was fired and recast. For both, it was because they wanted me to sound more ‘girlfriend,’ more like ‘hood,’ more ‘urban.’”
Well that was their loss, because her new role is definitely more fitting of her talent.

Rachel Roy Flees CFDA Awards Before Beyonce Arrives

Looks like ‘Becky with the good hair’ has some stage fright.
Rachel Roy reportedly grabbed her place card and left the CFDA Fashion Awards before Beyonce walked through the room, Page Six reports.
As the gala began, attendees started buzzing that Beyonce may be the Fashion Icon Award winner when Jay Z arrived.
That’s when sources claim Rachel bounced!
“She disappeared with her place card and never came back,” said a source. It was “weird. I don’t know if it was because she’s ‘Becky,’ or what?”
Well, that’s awkward.
