Cassie On Competing With Beyonce & Rihanna: ‘I Don’t Consider Myself In the Running’

Cassie has been trying to make her mark in the music industry and has met many roadblocks along the way. The stunning beauty recently released her long delayed mixtape ‘Rockabyebaby,‘ which features Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T, Fabolous, Meek Mill, French Montana, Too Short, Jeremih and Ester Dean.

Cassie sat down with ‘XXL’ magazine and weighs in on where she fits in a world of Beyonce, Rihanna, and Katy Perry:

It’s interesting that you’ve said “fit this world.” With artists like Rihanna and Katy Perry, how have you managed to stay in the running?

I don’t consider myself in the running. I consider myself such an underdog. Rihanna is seven albums in. She is non-stop working. I have been too, but on a totally different plane and level. Just not out, all over the world like that. I really started focusing on something. I would go away from it and come back. I’m just really a perfectionist with everything. So I don’t consider myself in the running with them. Hopefully soon! I’m working towards that. I think they’re all really awesome.

Diddy‘s baby mama Kim Porter says the nanny who is accusing her of using drugs around her twins is pissed off because she got the ax, this according to sources close to Kim.

TMZ sources told the site, the former nanny Dawn Drago is a convicted shoplifter who somehow managed to leave that tidbit off her employment application. Drago is basically a disgruntled ex-employee who is extremely bitter because she was fired for falsifying time sheets.

A rep from the law firm representing Drago tells TMZ, the shoplifting conviction is irrelevant “because she was not working at a shop.” That’s the quote. We don’t understand it either.

Sounds like a case for Olivia Pope!
